Does a Cup Need To Be Smart?

Maybe not. But in this time and age lots of things have changed from what they used to be (boring) to something exciting. Before now, all you just did with your cup was to drink liquid, be it coffee, juice, water etc.

For those who don't know, a cup is a small open container used for drinking and carrying drinks. It may be made of wood, plastic, glass, clay, metal, stone, china or other materials, and may have a stem, handles or other adornments. Cups are used for drinking across a wide range of cultures and social classes, and different styles of cups may be used for different liquids or in different situations.

With the invention of smart cups, individuals, businesses now have a luxury of functions that a cup could give them. Nowadays, these cups have been embedded with sensors that can determine the temperature of the liquid you have put in it. This is a useful feature especially if you need to monitor the temperature of what you need to consume.

Smart Cups can also have LEDs built into them. Depending on the model you have, these LEDs indicate when the cup is touched, volume of liquid content and lots of other functions. These functions tend to make life easier for those who use them.

They can be life savers too. A Smart Cup can remind the owner to drink water to avoid dehydration which can be a strain on the health of anyone. Being Dehydrated can lead to dizziness.
